The Executive Committee is made up of a cross section of the MYP membership to plan and implement programming for the organization.

YP Connect

The YP Connect committee serves as the ambassadors for the Marshalltown Young Professionals, recruiting and welcoming new members to the organization. Other duties include:

• Recruitment and retention of members.
• Encourage community involvement through various organizations, boards and committees.
• Market and promote social events and professional development opportunities.
• Interact with employers to create opportunities to recruit and retain young employees.

Social/Professional Development

The Social/Professional Development committee is charged with planning events for MYP members.  Other duties include:

• Create educational and entertainment opportunities.
• Coordinate events to develop leadership skills.
• Offer training sessions and networking opportunities.
• Create opportunities for connecting with More Experienced Professionals.
• Involve young professionals in state and local government.
• Coordinate social events to network with other professionals from Marshalltown area businesses.
• Offer events for both families and adults-only in a relaxed social atmosphere.
• Introduce young professionals to area businesses through various social events.
• Create opportunities to build relationships on both professional and personal levels.
